Joseph Oliver Yap (Joy)

“The wonderful thing about collaborating with creative and technical teams is the ability to push the boundaries of what’s possible.”

Joseph is a design engineer who specialises in sustainability. His experience as a lead at RMIT’s aerospace rocketry team and at RMIT’s Future Play Lab, he learned how to develop robust data systems and design playful experiences, while completing his Master of Design Innovation and Technology. His passion for sustainability began while working at a homewares company that specialised in natural materials, where he witnessed how much nature gave for free, and how easy it was to lose those resources forever.

Shimroth Thomas

‘People are entrusting us with their business. Iterating and testing quickly using traditional design techniques and advanced technology gives confidence on the risks we take.’

Shimroth is an architect and multidisciplinary artist. Before ZeroTag, he co-founded a creative agency, sister company to a software development agency, which we work with today. He has received numerous design awards, including an Honourable Commendation from the Victorian Premier Design Awards. His passion for sustainability began while working at an experimental township in India, in collaboration with the Earth Institute (UNESCO Chair for Earthen Architecture), which completely challenged his knowledge about existing systems.

Felix Toohey

“Design and technology present a unique opportunity: the ability to share a message without impacting the environment.”

Felix knows how to make a movement. He was co-founder of ‘Top Up Tap’ in the UK, a campaign promoting refilling of water instead of using plastic water bottles. A grandson of a dairy farmer, he won an arts scholarship in Devon and recently raised awareness of milk on tap in Melbourne with the campaign, No Bull Cause, which was supported by ZeroTag. He uses his creative talents across art and design to reach as many people as possible to make the world more sustainable.
